Development is the successful and accurate implementation of the UI and UX design through code. I meticulously code all of my websites from scratch. I never outsource, use themes or cut corners.

Development can be broken down into two stages, front-end and back-end.

Front-end development

Front-end development involves using HTML, CSS and Javascript to create each page design as a template in the web browser. There are certain standards I adhere to when writing markup. I use valid, standards-compliant HTML and CSS, and make sure pages degrade gracefully in older, less functional browsers.

I only create responsive websites and use relative units for all measurements. This means page elements can be scaled proportionally easily, resulting in a refined, usable interface across all devices.

Back-end development

Back-end development includes everything that happens behind the scenes to add the functionality that brings your website to life. This usually involves integrating the page templates with Craft CMS and any third-party products such as Stripe or Checkfront.

Craft CMS

Craft is a content-first content management system that aims to make life enjoyable for developers and content managers alike. Used by top brands such as Netflix and Salesforce, it allows for complete flexibility and customisation, while providing an intuitive and inviting publishing experience.

Craft is the most powerful and flexible CMS available today.

Design studios can be very expensive, with managers who shelter you from those working on your project. Similarly, many freelancers fail to understand the business aspects of a project.

As an experienced consultant I offer the best of both worlds and will create a website that will help your business grow.
